I. Open Door Policy 

We have an open door policy in #sexgods. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, or discuss any issues/concerns/suggestions you may have with the personnel in #sexgods. Since #Sexgods is a help/administration channel, we do not want users idleing, but if you have legitimate network business, or need help, we will be more than happy to talk to you. We try our best to be fair with everyone, sometimes this is not so easy, but we do try.

II. Network Rules Regarding the following: 

1. First off, USE COMMON SENSE! Now on with the rest: 

a. Minors - This network is based in the United States, and therefore follows US Law regarding minors, no persons under the age of 18 are allowed on the network. As channel owners/operators/voice/half-ops, we ask that you actively seek out minors and report them to #sexgods. Failure to report a known minor to Administration will most likely result in the failee's termination of access to this network. (If you know someone is a minor and attempt to keep this from being known, or fail to report it.)

If you are a channel owner and you know that someone is a minor, and fail to report this to Administration, or if there are multiple instances of minors being found in your channel and you have not reported them to Administration, or have not attempted to find out the age of your users, your channel may be suspended. 

b. Beastiality - Since the majority of states in the US have laws against beastiality, we do not allow that type of activity, whether verbal or in pictures/movies on this network. We periodically random check fserv's for objectionable material. Please report all instances to #sexgods

c. Rape - Actual rape will not be allowed. Report all instances to #Sexgods. Fantasy rape behind closed doors between consenting adults is allowed.

d. Incest - In no form, shape or fashion is this allowed. Report all instances to #sexgods

e. Pedophiles/child pornography:

aa. Sexnet has a Zero Tolerance Policy for pedophiles/child pornography. We DO REPORT instances of child pornography/pedophilia to the appropriate authorities. We do periodically, random check fservs for child porn.

bb. Fserv owners are responsible for the content of their fserv. You should never allow uploads to be available for download without personally checking each file. If child pornography is found on your fserv, you will be permenantly G-Lined from this network and reported to authorities.

cc. Questionable Material: If there is "questionable" material found on your fserv, the fserv and owner may be G-Lined until such time as the material is removed from the fserv. Regardless of what you believe the legality of content is on your fserv if the administration feels it is border line or hard to determine the age of the subjects, you will be asked to remove it. We will attempt to contact the fserv owner regarding the questionable file(s), and we will check the fserv prior to it being allowed back on the network. A second offense regarding questionable files can result in permanent removal of the fserv and owner from the network.

dd. Channel Websites: Are not to contain  or have links to either child pornography, bestiality or any questionable material. Whether it is in human, cartoon, or stick figure ... etc.  The URL will be blocked and the channel owner will be contacted and asked to remove it immediately. It is the channel owner's responsibility to remove the content and notify us when it has been removed, an admin will check the site before the URL is unblocked.  IF the content is not removed in a reasonable time frame,  the channel owner and channel may face other consequences.  Multiple offence may result in the channel owner being glined and/or the channel being suspended.

ee. Pedophiles - We ask that owners/operators/voices/half-ops ask the possible offender for their age. If the possible offender is 18-20 asking for 16-17, please instruct that individual that this is an 18+ network and not to solicit for minors.

No matter what age the possible offender is, if they ask for an age younger than 16, we consider that pedophilia and should be reported immediately to #sexgods. 

If the offender is older than 20 and is asking for under 18, then this is considered pedophilia and should be reported to #sexgods. 

f.Discrimnation : SexNet does not allow discrimination in any manner including but not limited to the following:

Race

Color

Gender (including trans-gendered)

Sexual Orientation

Religion

Age

Racist remarks, insults, jokes, comments will get the offender removed from the network.

g. Spam / Inviting:

aa. Spam (URLS pasted in channel for websites/other networks/etc.) Spam is not allowed on SexNet. Offenders will have access terminated.

Exceptions:

At times, Network Admin or IRCops may make broadcasts of interesting websites or urls. This will not be a regular occurrence. 

In channel advertisements for that channels web page, or to a related (sister channel) channel's web page. 

NOTE: Web pages advertised on a channel, must also conform to sexnet policies. We cannot have a website with objectionable material being advertised. 

bb. Inviting (popping into a channel and inviting users to another channel, or an on-join invite to another channel, or private messaging many users of a channel and inviting to another channel). The offending user will be asked to stop the practice immediately, if they do not, they will be terminated from the network and the channel suspended indefinitely.

h. Harassment - This is on a case-by-case determination by the IRCops/Administration. We recommend the use of the /ignore feature as a first-line defense against harassment. We encourage all the channel owners/operators/voices/half-ops to suggest the use of /ignore <nick> 3....it does work the majority of the time. For cases where ignore is not sufficient to keep the harassment from continuing, we may get involved in the situation if asked. We do not want users harassed on this network.

i. Reporting of issues to Administration - When reporting users to #sexgods, please only paste what is required, we DO NOT need the information from a /whois, because of the +x, the information from a /whois is useless to us. Accurately spelled nicknames are needed, as is the proof of the offense.

Please do not paste 50 lines of text, it is not required. Paste only the bare minimum, if we need more clarification, we will ask for it. If an issue arises where there is quite a bit of important text leading up to an issue, please warn us and ask to be allowed to paste the entirity.  All reports must be pasted into #sexgods, not to the pm of an IRCop or Administrator.

Please ask before pasting spam into #sexgods, it may have been added to the spamfilter already and you may be glined automatically.

j. Disclaimer - Since there are many issues which arise which do not always fall into a cut/dried fitting of one of the above rules, all of the above rules are subject to interpretation by the IRCop handling the issue. We do confer with each other on subjective issues, so usually a course of action/inaction has been discussed between at least 2 IRCops.

As this is not a democracy, this is a free service paid for by the server owners, for your and the other users enjoyment and entertainment, we do reserve the right to terminate a users access without cause or explanation. 

III. Network Policies 

a. Bots - Friendly bots are allowed, war bots, DDoS bots, sub7 bots or others will not be allowed. If you have a bot you may think is questionable, please ask about it before bringing it on the network.

b. Connections: The network allows 4 connections per host. If more than 4 clients connect, the Admin/IRcops get a notice from Sexworld letting us know, and Sexworld will kill off the excess, normal policy for this occurrence is to G-Line the offending address with 'clones' as a reason. If you run bots, please be sure you do not exceed the 4 connection limit.

c. Flooding - Ban the user from the channel, then report it to #sexgods (DO NOT PASTE the entire flood! We only need 3-6 lines of it.)

d. Hacking / Nuking - Any user that brags about hacking/nuking, probably couldn't hack their way out of a paper bag, do not get upset or panic. A true hacker/nuker will not brag. We set all users +i and +x on connect, this sets you invisible(+i) and hidden host(+x). The only way they can get your true IP address is if you dcc send / chat with them. This should prevent most nuking.

e. Channel Issues - We try to not get involved in channel issues/squabbles/bullshit.

We may, on rare instances, remove op's from your access list, who have been glined from the network for serious offenses, if, 1.) The channel owner is not present, and 2.) The need is determined to be immediate.

We will always attempt to contact the channel owner first.

Channel owners are responsible for the conduct of the operators in their channel. 

Channels can be suspended based on the conduct of one of it's operators, if that conduct is deemed to be harmful to the network.

Channels can be taken over by Network Administration if the owner has: 

a. Abandoned the channel for a period of 30 days or more.

b. The conduct of the channel owner is deemed detrimental to the network.

c. The channel owner fails to enforce the network rules and policies as outlined in this text.

In almost all instances, we will attempt to discuss any issues with the channel owner prior to any action taken by a Network Representative. 

f. Warez - IRC is an Unmoderated Medium - With the exception of child porn as stated above, we will take no action on serving as long as there are no complaints. Complaints should be emailed to webmaster@sexnet.org.
